    Default Bootup Time?
Just wondering if anybody upgraded to Lion from SL? If so do you notice a slower bootup time? My 2010 MBP booted up awesomely quick on SL, now on Lion it's probably 10-20 seconds slower than when on SL. Not a big deal as it's still faster than a typical windows machine lol, but it kind of bothers me that it's not as fast as it was before. Shutdown is still normal and fast though *thumbs up!*

EDIT: No I don't want to know what your current bootup time is, I want to know if you noticed a difference in bootup time between SL and Lion, THANKS!

Now I feel like it's a 3G/3GS thing, where the OS is fast and dandy on one device but slower on the other. Damn the MBP. I've been considering buying a new one in a year, either a new MBP or MBA, but I can't decide bc I dual boot Windows for school and I'm afraid the MBA won't handle dual-booting as well as an MBP? I use VMware.

Dual booting works fine on MBA's. Boot camp even makes a nice windows USB boot disk for you if you have a 4gb or higher usb stick. The only kicker with MBA's is less hard drive space because of the SSD. Super fast because of it though. it's a trade off.

Hm. Now you got me thinkin' lol. I don't use up too much space ... Apple products require a lot of self-control lol. I didn't want to buy it early 2012 though I can ... maybe later in 2012 and with that new model of the MBA out too ...

Did you ever have SL on your Air though?

Hm, wonder if it would bootup faster with SL or slower then. 12 seconds on the Air, I'm going to go test my MBP's bootup time.

Not sure. I have a feeling it may be a touch faster on SL though.

My bubble didn't burst if everything was based on boot time maybe but it's not lol.

I'm not sure bragging I can get windows faster than you is such a great accomplishment anyway lol

Can't/won't afford it until end of 2012 lol. Think you'll have it sold by then.
