You can try but I think they are not going to be very helpful anymore

Really??? I enable USB tethering, and it shows up as an Ethernet adapter on my computer but it never actually does anything. It doesn't try to connect or do anything like that. Bluetooth works find though. Tethering via Wifi or USB through PdaNet works fine.

@Stealth: Both. When I enable USB tethering, my iPhone shows up as a Ethernet adapter on both Windows & OS X, which I'm assuming is normal. But it never does anything after that. It just stays disconnected. How long would I have to wait? Until it starts working?

  15. #312
I guess calling couldn't hurt anything.

Mine works after about 10 secs. Your bluetooth works fine tho?

    Default help
ok i tried doing the shift update thind didnt work it looked like it was loading somthing a then restarted my phone nothing mms isnt there then i updated to beta 5 from beta 4 and did the same thing but no mms and then i did it manualy through ssh nothing still i did restart my phone in on iphone 2g beta 5 any sugestions

  19. #315
Same problem here. The IPCC is not noticed when you do the shift and update in itunes. Says it can only see ISPW files. Tried to SSH them in with winSCP and the settings are STILL not there. What am I missing??

UPDATE: Got it! Found the itunes that came out with beta 4 and installed and all I had to do was put in the IPCC update for at&t. reset phone and entered in the MMS setting and done... I already had my account provisiond when I was using swirleys MMS. Apparently when you do a full restore, it stays provisioned. The only way you loose the provision is if you take out the SIM card. Now if I can only get cycorder or iphonerecorder3g working... sigh...

Bluetooth tethering does not work on the new unibody Macs for some reason. It does work on older MacBooks, though. Until the official release, it looks like you're stuck with USB only, unfortunately.

I haven't been able to get USB tethering to work until now, then again, I have 3G now, where before, I was on EDGE, but when I had EDGE, Bluetooth tethering worked, but USB didn't.

PdaNet is still my fav .
