Default No Applications "Folder" in new iTunes
    Hey folks,

The stupid new puppy pulled my laptop to the floor the other day, physically damaging my hard drive. I ordered a new one, and fortunately I had an old Ghost image of my system I was able to restore with.

Unfortunately I had to restore all my iPhone software and update it. Oddly, when I updated iTunes, it installed WITHOUT an Applications folder in the Library.

I have Music, TV, Movies, Podcasts, Radio, and Ringtone. No Applications.

Anyone got ANY idea what the heck is going on? FYI, it the newest iTunes, ver. 8.2.1.6

    Thanks,

    Hal

If you download some apps it will automatically recreate the folder

If you have apps on the phone - just run sync and the folder, with cc:s of any installed app will be created.
    Do hope that helps

    Synced. No Applications still.

    BUT I SCREWED EVERYTHING UP.

I must have really screwed up re-jailbreaking my phone. The iphone is a mess. NO Mail, Ipod, Phone, or ah, hell, can't even remember. No Contacts, Note, etc.

I am restoring now. Then upgrading to 3.0.1. Then RE-Jailbreaking again.

Man, I have NEVER had these kinds of problems... I had to get the phone into DFU and re-install everything. Thank God I had just backed everything up today. I think I installed too many Cydia apps without rebooting. BossPrefs fried me.

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE... Thanks to the folks that suggested d/ling an App to see if the Apps Folder would show up in the Library... Yup, it did. THANKS!

    Off to Jailbreak again....

    Hal

What the bloody hell? The Apps folder was there, but now it's gone again??? ARGH!

    Anyone got ANY ideas?

I still think it may be a problem with the iTunes App. try deleting it and then re-install might help.
