    Default Navigon GPS iPhone
Hi, i just saw the navigon gps for the iphone and its sick ! i was wondering though, it says u dont need a live internet connection. does it mean u dont need a 3G or edge data plan?
cuz i dont have a plan.

All the maps are loaded into your phone. So no data plan is needed.

The one thing that I don't like about Navigon is that the screen does not auto rotate in all directions. For example, holding your iPhone upside-down. I hang my iPhone from my rear-view mirror by a charging cord which causes it to hang upside-down(home button on top).

I have been using Sygic Mobile Maps and it does rotate as I need. But, I have gripes with this app as well. The keyboard sucks really bad. I don't know why they would not use the standard iPhone keyboard. Other than that, it works excellent.

Also, Navigon's point of intrest database is way better then Sygic's.
    Dirty as I wanna be!

I really want to try it out but I am a little hesitant to drop $70 bucks on an app. Espcially since I have a GPS...would be nice to have it on my phone though.

    ^^Definitely worth it.
If your GPS is in good condition sell it on ebay and use that to buy the app!
I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

I have a $700 TomTom and still got this app. Its great to have it anytime or instead of having to carry my TomTom if im not in my main vehicle.

    Navigon>Sygic

I've tried both and have to agree with everyone else, Navigon is much better and has a prettier GUI. Just wish Navigon had a british chick tellin me where to go....
