Default Apple Decides To Remove All Emoji-Enabling Apps
By now, everyone is probably aware of the cute Japanese Emoji icons that have been made available to the rest of us by Emoji-enabling applications. Well, you better get them while you can because they are about to go away very quickly.

Apple has reportedly already removed Emoji specific applications, and has asked all developers with applications that include Emoji-enablers to immediately submit an update with the enablers removed.

Apple hasn’t made a statement about why they suddenly decided to remove the applications. Emoji icons aren’t enabled by default for users outside of Japan, and the only way to unlock them is through a loophole in the iPhones software so you can understand why they probably don’t feel the need to say anything.

If you already have enabled Emoji icons on your iPhone, this doesn’t really concern you. Everything will remain the same unless Apple decides to issue some sort of an update to fix the loophole.

So download either Typing Genius or Spell Number (free)

    If you download Spell Number:

Launch the application and enter these numbers in the exact order, including the decimal: 9876543.21

Once you have entered the number go back to the home screen.

    Now enter Settings>General>Keyboard>International Keyboards>Japenese

Turn on the Emoji switch and go back to the home screen. It’s time to start using Emoji icons.

To enter Emoji icons, open your application of choice and tap the planet symbol located next to the space bar. There are oodles of icons so don’t forget to scroll through the lists.

Just so everyone is aware, Emoji icons will most likely not be displayed correctly on other devices. If you attempt to send a message including Emoji icons, they will simply appear as small boxes. If you want to be sure your recipient is seeing the icons properly, they must have an iPhone or an iPod touch.

If you would like to delete Spell Number at this point you may do so. The application doesn’t need to remain on the iPhone to display the Emoji icons.
