Default iphone as your TV remote???
I have seen a few posts here and there about using the iphone as your TV remote. I know if you have WIFI TV service this may be possible but, what about as a regular remote?

Anybody working on this? Anyone else interested in this?

I don't think it can't be done. Regular TV remotes work on the infrared, and the iPhone doesn't have an infrared port AFAIK. However, some TV sets are starting to ship with bluetooth remotes, so there might be a slight chance there.

No chance, TV's dont have WiFi, iPhone bluetooth is poor, and IR on iPhone isn't used to send signals, only detect proximity.

The IR sound as clips on itunes looks interesting. What are the chances we could get a basic remote control app to use?
