    Default 3gs 3.1.3 to 4.0.X
Could anyone please tell me what the benefits are to upgrading a 3gs from 3.1.3 to any newer OS..? SHSH saved on Cydia

Is app compatibility an issue @ all still or has everyone pretty much updated

I just dont want to go thru the hassle of upgrading if theres no real upside to it..

    What am I see'ing different in a 4.0.X OS..?

    Peace

IOS 4 is a major update : Ibooks, Folder options , Multitasking, GameCenter, Email handlings, Wallpapers Settings, These features you have to do it yourself : Enable HDR, iMovies, CineXplayer.

It says you have a 3gs on 4.1 unlocked & Jailbroken..Should I go all the way up to 4.1 or stick with 4.0.2 or 4.0.1..?

So anyway I think i am going to do your method of upgrading to 4.1 as stated in this posthttp://modmyi.com/forums/3g-s-downgr...le-screen.html

I have SHSH saved on cydia from 3.1.3,4.0,4.0.1,4.0.2
Is it 100% safe making a 4.1 OS with Sn0wbreeze will I be able to downgrade if I dont like it..?

    Peace

, new bootrom, so you cannot follow me. Sorry.
Wait a minute, you can check your bootrom , hold on

Put your iphone into recovery mode or DFU mode
Click Start > Computer: rigt click properties > Device Manager > Scroll Univeersl Bus Controller >Apple Mobile Device USB Driver > right click Properties > Details > Scroll Device Instance Path > If 359.3.2 : then it is new bootrom.

Upgrade/Downgrade has nothing to do with bootroms, if you have shsh blogs , then you can downgrade.
Look up my post before this, I just put the guide for you to check your bootrom.

Hmmm, that is very weird..if you don't have iboot, wonder how your iphone can possibly boot up. Iboot in Iphone is like EPROM in Computer.
