Default Downgrade baseband 5.14 to 5.13 with no shsh saved?
Does anybody know how to downgrade from 4.1 to any earlier version on a NON JAILBROKEN iphone?

I stupidly updated to 4.1 last night. I have no backups of shsh files or anything. I need to unlock the phone from its supported carrier, so I need to downgrade my baseband from 5.14.x to 5.13.x.

Will fuzzyband allow me to downgrade the baseband from 5.14.x to 5.13.x?

No, your baseband stays at what it is now, cannot be downgraded. Fuzzyband will not work. You have lost your unlock.

what makes fuzzyband unable to help? I have a very old 3g here, which makes me think it is on the "old bootrom/bootloader" with which fuzzyband will work?

    or am I wrong?

If you have restored to 4.1, this version will not let you downgrade your baseband eventhough you have bootloader 5.8 on a 3G.
Since you have a 3G, at 4.1, you can jailbreak with Redsn0w 0.9.6 b1 for mac version, and then wait for unlock.
