Question How can I restore my 4.0.1 backup after downgrading to 3.1.3 ???
    Hi,

I managed to downgrade my iPhone 3G from 4.0.1 to 3.1.3 (thanks for the help) but was unable to restore my backup as it's a iOS4 backup.

Unfortunately I don't have a "iOS3" backup. What can I do? For now I just went back up to the SLOW 4.0.1.

I guess the things I want is my contacts, messages, notesand calendar. (Apps and music I can re-install after)

    Many thanks for reading

You cannot restore from back up on 3.1.3 with a 4.0.x backup. So the best thing to do is use Microsoft sync or some other syncing tool to back up your contacts, photos, etc.

I was just looking around my folders on WinSCP and theres actually a file/folder referring to address book... I'm probably way off, but could I copy this file and paste it back after resetting to 3.1.3?

    Cheers
