Default How to downgrade 4.0.2 to 4.0.1???
My iPhone 3gs is currently in firmware 4.0.2 and I wanna jailbreak it. However, I need to first downgrade the firmware to 4.0.1 and I dont know how to do that. Can someone help me with that?

you can only downgrade to 4.0.1 if you have the SHSH saved.

since you are new to this, you are probably dont know what SHSH is. It is too late to save it, because apple will only sign off on the news OS. Without the SHSH saved you can not downgrade your phone.

4.1 will be out soon, and people are working on a jailbreak for it. Your only options is to wait for that jailbreak.

Actually, if you're going to use that method, just skip all of the stuff prior to step 8, and pick it up from there. Everything before step 8 is bunk, and has already been proven to not work. Be sure to have a 4.0.1 ipsw downloaded and ready to go.

You're most likely going to find that you in fact DO have a 4.0.1 SHSH saved. Check with TinyUmbrella first.
