Default Upgrade to 4.0.2 then downgrade to 4.0.1
Im using a iPhone 3GS ver 3.1.3 MC model (jailbroken ofcourse), while i wait for my iPhone 4.

Anyways i was wondering if i was able to upgrade my 3GS from 3.1.3 to 4.0.2 then downgrade to 4.0.1?
    -or-
Upgrade it from 3.1.3 straight to 4.0.1?

Cydia says i have my SHSH blobs saved for 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.0.1

If possible can some give me a step by step tutorial how to retreive the blobs, and how to upgrade and downgrade? Or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance!!

Don't do the upgrade to 4.02 step .... since Cydia says you have 4.0/4.01 saved, then you can do 2 methods of upgrading

    1. Point your host file to Cydia - add these line in your host file (74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com) and do a shift+restore and use the official Apple firmware for 4.0/4.01 - You can download the firmware from this site or iClarified.

    2. Get the blobs from Cydia using TinyUmbrella and do a local server upgrade
    a. Download the latest version of TU (4.02.05 I think)
    b. Run TU, connect your iPhone, click on the Advance tab. Choose which blobs you want to get from Cydia and click on Save my SHSHs. The blobs will be retrieved from Cydia and will be save in your local machine
    c. Change your host file to add this line 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
    d. Run the TSS server from TU
    e. Open iTunes and run the shift+restore using the 4.0/4.01 firmware

You should be good to go.

This is the simplest answer to this question I have seen so far,has it been successfully achieved? Super stoked if it has. I'm good at bricking so I don't want to try it on my own just yet.

Yes it works as long as Cydia has your appropriate SHSH files.
