Thumbs up Problematic 3GS since JB
Since JailBreaking my 3GS I've had inconsistent and frustrating bug and issues and also have taken a heavy performance hit.

I was hoping to just flatten the phone, and then re-set it up but as I understand, iTunes will try and put 4.0.2 on the phone - something I'd waited a long time (prior to joining MMi) to jailbreak. Catch 22.

If I do factory reset the phone and end up with 4.0.2 can I get back to 4.0.1 or 4.0 at a later point considering I have my SHSH's stored through Cydia?

    Thanks appreciated.

    TC.

If you have you SHSH stored then no need to upgrade then down grade. Just restore the firmware you have your SHSH saved for.

I suggest you download Tiny Umbrella it is the easiest way. It will save your SHSH files locally on your computer and when you start the TSS server it will force iTunes to use the SHSH blobs saved on your computer.

Tiny Umbrella will even get the SHSH blobs for older firmwares you may have saved on Cydia and keep the locally.
Yeah I'm an iPhoneaholic!! So What!!!

    Thanks qnc. :-)

I ran Tiny Umbrella and i've got SHSH blobs for 4.0.1. I'm downloading firmware 4.0.1 so I can restore it to my device and then go from there.
