Default 3GS 4.0.2 jailbreak? Help please?!
Basically I've got a 3GS 16gb on o2. Now I'm trying to jailbreak it but obviously I've got to downgrade software first. Now I get an error 3194 through iTunes and it's really doing my head in. How on earth do I go back? People please help me. It's doing my head in for days. It's never been run through Cydia or tiny umbrella. Noting other than iTunes.

you are stuck until 4.1 is released i think. should be like early September. Dev team isn't working on 4.0.2 but maybe someone else is?

He already answered you, it can't be done unless you have saved your SHSH files for previous firmwares. Since you have never jailbroken and probably don't know what Umbrella is, I would say that you don't have those files. So, you are stuck until a new jailbreak is released.

Nope. You are currently stuck with 4.0.2. Have to be patient. Finding an exploit takes time.

Those who successfully downgraded were those who had an older version of the firmwares previously (like 3.1/3.12/3.1.3/4.0/4.01) and had had their SHSHs blobs saved either locally or in Cydia.

If he did it last week he mustve downgraded to 4.0.1 and at that time last week, Apple was still signing 4.0.1 so SHSHs werent necessary.

You can downgrade to 4.0.1 or 4.0 if you have the old bootrom and shift+restore to a custom fw.

If you have the new boot, at this point without SHSHs you can do nothing.

Edit: also 4.0.2 is only jailbreakable on an iPhone 3G

An iPhone has to be already jailbroken before it will accept a custom firmware.
