Default Ipod Touch 2G non-MC downgrade problem
    Hi,
I had my device on 3.1.2 jailbroken for a very long time. I upgraded to 4.0 and jailbroke it yesterday and didn't like it so I wanted to downgrade. Itunes showed an error no matter what firmware i chose except 2.1.1. So now i'm on 2.1.1 and im stuck there. Can't restore to any other firmware. Anyone know if I can upgrade back to 3.1.2/3.1.3

What error were you getting? Was it 1015, is so that's normal. It means the restore completed. Use recovery or tinyumbrella to kick it out of recovery mode.

It was 1601 i think. 2002 for 4.0. I just got it upgraded to 3.1.2 though I used quickfreedom to make the screen go white and then restored with a custom firmware 3.1.2 and it worked
