    There is so litte info on the net about this at first glance it would cause many people to give up but after a little digging and a DFU/MacHD/Systems preferences/USB devices digging I found the answer.

    I don't agree at all that an MC branded iPhone necessarily means it has the NEW BOOT ROM.

    I think that's complete bull$hit.

    How? Because the OLD bootrom is 359.3

    The NEW bootrom is 359.3.2

    My MC branded iPhone has the 359.3 BootRom.

    The only thing I don't know at the moment is at what point ( what month ) MC iPhones changed from being 359.3 to 359.3.2
