Unhappy Please help, on wits end..
    Hi everyone,

    Thanks in advance for reading.

I am at my wits end with my 3gs and have probably done a gazillion searches on google and this forum to find a fix for my pathetic iPhone.

I have a perfectly fine 3.1.2 3gs (jailbroken & unlocked with spirit) working until a week ago, my phone went on an infinite loop and for some reason I am unable to restore my phone and I'm completely stuck. It seems like my entire iPhone was erased and now on iTunes it is showing a blank (N/A) phone.

I've tried to restore my phone to the 3.1.3 using the archived ipsw file and was stopped by an error 3194 on iTunes.

I am operating my phone on T-Mobile and I've read that if I were to upgrade my phone to the new 4.0.1, I will be experiencing difficulties with a different sim card and activation problem; so I held off on doing the update. Correct me if I'm wrong, if I were to update to 4.0.1, I wouldn't be able to get past the activation screen (due to not AT&T) and I couldn't even get to safari to do the whole jailbreakme process.

I have no shsh blobb saved on Cydia when this happened; I realized that when I tried the fix..

I am hoping that someone could advise me on what needed to be done to get my phone working on 3.1.3/3.1.2 again for T-Mobile (jb & unlocked). I'm currently running on Windows Vista.

All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you do a restore you'll run into a problem with activation no matter what fw you install. Without having any shsh's saved the only one you'll be able to install is 4.0.1 since that's the current one being signed by apple. To get past the emergency call screen you will need an AT&T sim to activate the phone. If you have a friend on AT&T you could borrow theirs.
