Default [SOLVED] Stuck between 3.1.3 and 4.0
I was on 3.1.3 and was stuck when trying to upgrade to iOS 4 and keep on getting the 1600 or 1604 error. Now, I can't revert to 3.1.3 because I don't have SHSH with Saurik. Here's how i solved my issue:
    1. Download Blackrain
    2. Set phone is restore mode (not DFU)
    3. Run Blackrain and press 'make it rain'.If you have ASL error, copy blackrain to (CProgram Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support)
    4. Phone will reboot. After seeing the apple logo for a while, it will boot into 3.1.3, unplug the data cable immediately or else you will have to repeat the process again. Time it correctly and you'd be in 3.1.3 again.

Then, use the guide here to JB using Spirit, use spirit2pwn then upgrade to iOS4 with JB & Unlock: http://modmyi.com/forums/pwnage/7167...n0wbreeze.html

Unfortunately not. When the phone get the error, it didn't write its payload, but stuck in recovery loop. When you successfuly upgrade it already write the data, thus the 3.1.3 is no longer there.

I think geohot or comex will come up with something soon. Wait for that. Don't upgrade to any newer firmware if you rely on JB or unlock.
