    Exclamation Need help downgrading
    Greetings!

So tonight I decide to upgrade my unlocked and jailbroken iphone 3gs in itunes 9.2 to ios4. After upgrading I planned to use UltraSn0w 0.93 to unlock it...

Unfortunately, I accidentally disconnected my phone in the middle of upgrading! NOOOOO!

So I plug it back in and itunes wants to restore it to factory settings. I couldn't see what else to do, so I let it restore itself and upgrade to ios4... the only problem is that it wasn't happy with my T-Mobile sim card.

So I planned to downgrade to 3.1.2 to re-jailbreak, but discovered Apple isn't cool with that either. So I've read forums and experimented for hours and hours and am still where I started.

I hope there is something I can do... I don't have one of those ECID SHSH things on file. I don't have a MAC and run Windows 7.

No SHSH files saved? No downgrade.

    Lightbulb One more question
Thanks for the replies! So it's as I thought... Just thought I would ask to see if there was something I missed.

Though I have one more question for everyone:

PwnageTool 4.0 is out and I hear that it "only works on previously jailbroken 3GS devices with the old bootrom."

My 3gs has the old bootrom and it was previously jailbroken (not with Spirit (though not with PwnageTool either) but with BlackRa1n).

So if I use my friends MAC, would I be able to jailbreak with PwangeTool (and then unlock with UltraSn0w)?

Like I said in my original post; my iphone disconnected during an update, and it was restored to "factory settings" when I plugged it back in... does that make a difference when PwnageTool requires a "previously jailbroken 3GS device"?
