Lightbulb Reinstall Firmware: Unable to get browse box to select .ipsw file???
    Hi,

I want to reinstall my 3.1.2 firmware (I have been modding to much) to get a fresh install.

I have read all the tutorials, got my iphone in DFU mode, but when I press SHIFT and click the restore button in ITUNES, I only get the official message to either download or backup my iPhone.

It has a custom 3.1.2 firmware. All my ECID SHSH files are on Cydia (from 3.0 - 3.1.3) but I cannot get the BROWSE box to appear to select my custom firmware.

What am I doing wrong...must be something realy stupid i think.

Can anyone help me out here?

If you are on a mac, you need to be pressing the option key.

    What version of iTunes?

I tried 8.2.1 and now I am on 9.0.3 (both were jailbreak safe)...I heard.

I might be doing something wrong here, could be something realy small.

But as it seems I am following all the proper actions.

I have upgraded lots of times via this option...?

Can it be a setting in iTunes?
