Default Trying to upgrade to 3.0.1
I know this sounds a little anal but I just jailbroke 3.0 with my file stored on cydia for 3.0. I wanted to know is there a way to upgrade to only 3.0.1 for right now?

3.0.1 is a useless update. Stay at 3.0

Agreed. I wouldn't go through the headache for 3.0.1

yah if you have the 3.0.1 ECID stored maybe. but then again, WHY?

but from what I gather, the only way to upgrade to 3.0.1 is to have the ECID stored on cydia or somewhere. There is no way another this point. (I understand that there is no love for 3.0.1 but I was just wondering, and 3.0.1 did work perfectly well for me until I had to do a restore last night)

Yeah, 3.0.1 was just fine as an OS, but unfortunately, saurik didn't have his signature requesting service perfected and online long enough to get 3.0.1 shsh's for the vast majority of the ~50,000 people that got 3.0 shsh's

At this point, just be thankful that you were one of the ~50,000 to be able to successfully downgrade at all. It comes in handy, especially if you are like me and willing to be a guinea pig for other *hopeful* methods to try and help the folks that didn't get on file with Cydia. I think I have been back and forth between 3.0 & 3.1 about 5 times in the last 2 days. There is just something comforting about knowing that no matter what, you can get back to 3.0 and still be able to have a jailbroken phone.

The ONLY difference between 3.0 and 3.0.1 is a single SMS vulnerability patch, that didn't even fix the problem. Not to mention that there are about 200 other sms vulnerabilities that still exist. You thinking that 3.0.1 is somehow better than 3.0 is strictly on your head.
