Default An update to the carrier settings....available?
    Anybody else getting the...
"An update to the carrier settings for your iphone is available"
    message after downgrading?
05.11.07 is the latest version, right?
If I click "update settings" is itunes going to try to update me to 3.1 again?

You are getting your settings confused. Firmware = iPhone OS. Baseband = Network (Phone) OS. Carrier Settings = network and internet settings from your carrier (ie. AT&T). An update to your carrier settings does not affect your baseband or firmware in any way.

So what exactly are the "carrier settings" used for? My iTunes has been asking me for months to update them and I religiously refuse.
