Thread: Error 1015

  1. #1
    Default Error 1015
I permanently recieve the error 1015 during the downgrading to 3.0, like it was described in the article by sauric. In this description, I read all about this error - maybe i am understanding something wrong (can be a result of my bad english )....

What can I do against this error 1015? Is there something that I can do???

    Thanks for your answers....

I made an entire topic on 1015 issues, check it out here:

    This should do teh trick!

READ IT ALL BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE TO YOUR IPHONE.

    download this(old quickpwn):

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/3zzmt5znnkm/QuickPwn.zip

    1. try to restore one more time. Get the error one more time, close itunes.

    2. open quickpwn and do what it says (hold home button \ sleep wake button for 15 secs etc.)

3 after the apple logo appears, press ok to the box after you see the logo (not before).

    4. a blue box might appear after the first one, just press ok.

    5. iphone should now boot normally. once its on your lock screen close quickpwn (not needed anymore unless you want to downgrade again)

    Should work and good luck,

Thank you very much - it works perfectly! but I had to use this tool after every restore - no matter if i kept the same OS-version....

can you please explain to me (and I think also the others ), what the program does to the installation?

Glad it worked. and yes if you ever want to restore to 3.0 you will always get error 1015 and this will allow you to fix it.

All it does it does is just reset the auto-boot so the phone actually boots, thus allowing you to jailbreak as normal.

I'll be making a thread just for 1015 issues and how to solve them soon, to help people future 1015 errors.
