  • Apple Store Offline Ahead of Today's Special Event

Apple is preparing their special event for today and the Apple Store has officially gone offline so Apple can edit the Web site's contents and prepare the Web pages for the new products that the company is expected to announce today.

Citing a wide range of rumors, Apple is expected to unveil an iPad Mini, 13-inch retina display MacBook Pro, updated Mac Mini, updated iBooks, and an updated iTunes that was promised earlier this year to be released in the fall.

The Web site will go live again shortly after today’s event with updated Web pages showcasing the products. ModMyi will have more on the products as they are announced.

According to PC Magazine, today’s Apple event can be streamed live in your Safari Web browser or Apple TV starting at 1PM Eastern time. The Apple Store being offline will not affect your ability to view this page on Apple's site.
