  • Apple Helps Procrastinating Holiday Shoppers With Free 2-3 Day Shipping

Procrastination is the American way, itís in the Constitution somewhere, Iím sure of it. Apple is doing their part to ensure the bulk of last-minute shoppers honoring the American pastime of procrastination get their Apple products delivered pre-Christmas.

During the Holiday shopping season Apple typically waives the $50 minimum purchase requirement to qualify for free standard shipping. But, Apple has now extended that offer to include free 2-3 day and 2-day shipping undercutting the standard shipping time of five days. This means customers making orders today for in-stock items would receive their shipments by this coming Friday.

The deadline to ensure the delivery of in-stock items before Christmas is December 19th with a few exceptions. Made-to-order Macs need to be ordered by December 14 in order to make the pre-Christmas deadline. The iPhone 4S deadline has already passed as orders placed today have an estimated ship date of 1-2 weeks because of tight supplies.

For the particularly dedicated procrastinations Apple does offer next-day shipping for an additional charge. But, even those orders must be placed by December 21st in order to ensure pre-Christmas delivery.

Nice that Apple is doing this! Some people might have to wait until the last minute to purchase.
