  • English version of Pangu 9.3.3 jailbreak released

Pangu has released the English version of their IPA 9.3.3 jailbreak app today. You can get it from their site. They also have a tutorial posted on how to install the IPA using a tool created by Saurik called Impactor. This tool, which has a Windows, Mac and Linux version, allows you to install the IPA needed to jailbreak your device. The limitation of this is that the IPA will only be signed for 7 days, so after 7 days you will need to redo the process to put the app back on your device which will allow you to reboot if you need to. If you have a paid apple developer account the signing will last for 1 year. These are limitations of the signing process created by Apple.

Tutorial can be found here: PanGu iOS 9.2 - 9.3.3 jailbreak tool Change log - pangu.io

This morning I got to Step 3 where it says to drag the .ipa into the Cydia Impactor window. No matter where I hover with the file, the cursor has an X and does not allow dropping it. Anyone know what the heck is going on, or if there are any other required steps that are not listed?

I wonder why this method is different from the Chinese version?

Are you running it as administrator? I read that running it as administrator in windows 10 it breaks the drag and drop feature, so just run it normal.

Hey all. I have a related question here. I used the last version which was Chinese (but I believe the same question will make sense here). When I went through the steps, I was never asked to enter an apple ID or pswd. Now, under Device Management, I see "iPhone Distribution: Beijing Hong Yuan Online Technology Dev Co, Ltd." Anyone else have this? I just want to make sure that something which isn't supposed to happen is happening here. lol. Jailbreak is working perfectly though.

That's normal. That means they signed the app for you.

Highly doubt there will be an untethered JB with this one.

I was! I'll give that a shot, thank you!

*EDIT* This fixed it. Wow it feels good to be jailbroken again. Thank you!

Don't go crazy please... Is this only for 64 bit devices? Some places say yes, but Pangu site doesn't distinguish. I have my original iPad mini I already updated to 9.3.3 from 9.0.2 days ago trying to use the Chinese directions. Not updating my 6s + unless an untethered comes out. Thanks ahead of time.

I seem to have issues using cydia after restoring from iTunes from a my latest backup after the jailbreak.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? JB seems to work without issues, only after the restore will it crash

Don't really recommend restoring a backup after jailbreaking. Can lead to issues. Your issue more sounds like you need to run the app again to rejailbreak. When you restore a backup it reboots your phone. When your phone reboots you need to run that jailbreak app on your device again.

That's the thing.. I can't run the app again. It crashes every time. I literally have to DFU the phone, full erase and restore and run the entire process again. i don't believe it to be an issue with the backup, as the back will restore fine without a JB iPhone. I'll try to restore, run the JB and then sync my device.. who knows.. I've already done it half a dozen times.. whats 1 more time!

So did I understand that correctly that you have to retail break every 7 days?

I don't see how this still doesn't point to the backup being the problem.

No. You have to resign and load the jailbreak app every 7 days, unless you have a paid dev account which last for 1 year instead of 7 days. This only comes into play if you reboot. You could potentially go months without needing to do this as long as you don't reboot.

hi. after backup restore and phone restart disconnect your phone. close itunes. connect iphone to pc, run pangu jailbreak program one more time. then close pangu, disconnect, open itunes, connect iphone to pc and auto resume backup restoring alll files and apps
