  • Samsung has its own ‘Captured on Galaxy S7’ ad Campaign to Copy Apple’s ‘Shot on iPhone
One of Apple’s many strengths is its marketing, and that’s never been more obvious than with its “Shot on iPhone” ad campaign, which has been going strong for a while now.

Apple even updated the campaign with eight new videos, which included dogs, penguins, beautifully scenery, and, perhaps most importantly, images and videos captured by owners of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Samsung has decided to ape some of those things, most notably with a very familiar name for its latest marketing push for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

It’s called “Captured on Galaxy S7,” which is similar to Apple’s “Shot on iPhone,” but just different enough that Samsung apparently feels comfortable with the distinction. The new ad campaign shows off the ability of Samsung’s latest flagship devices to capture 4K video, and does so with plenty of scenic environments.

As noted by AndroidBeat, it looks like the videos were captured by professionals, with editing and composition through the roof, but it is hard to ignore that the results are what they are. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge feature a 12-megapixel camera with Dual Pixel technology, which, among other things, makes the devices strong video capture devices.

Still, it’s hard to ignore Samsung’s inspiration for its new “Captured on Galaxy S7” campaign. What’s more, while Apple’s ads express not only the content, or the phone’s ability to capture that content with its camera, it also shows off the photographer of the content, and makes it feel more personal in the end.

Samsung’s attempt at this feels more like what you’d see on an endless loop in an electronics shop on a TV.

You can watch the ad below. What do you think of Samsung’s latest ad campaign?

Thank you Google Chrome Helper for shooting up to ~400% CPU Usage... quite the helper you are!

But DAMN! that looks nice. I saw it on 4K on a U2414H monitor and it's impressive. I still would rather buy a turd in a box than a Samsung phone thanks to their awful software support cycle..

While we're in the 4K theme, check this out:

      Ahahaha. Who copied?

In fact, Apple’s ‘Shot on iPhone’ ad campaign is a copycat from "Taken with Samsung Galaxy Camera" (2013) - youtube.com/watch?v=T19UOId2QKg

Check out tube"Captured on Samsung Galaxy S6" -.Samsung Galaxy S6 4K Ultra HD Video Sample (Publish Date: May 18, 2015) - youtube.com/watch?v=onXpKXbnbE0

This is a non story. It's not really an issue. This article seems to lack research. They have no idea what they’re talking. How honest are Apple and fans?. Ugly dirty mind and jealous people are?. People need to compliment others more often. I just said. Have you no shame? Not at all. Shameful. Shameless Liars....This is an American fascism (US Media).

I think all this fake just a propaganda for apple. Sorry, Apple. Very sad. Just proof to show how dumb Apple fans are. S7 is the best camera phones in the world right now (Dual Pixels camera - A first in the smartphone world). iPhone 6s camera is a JOKE.

Apple's next iPhone 7 (iGalaxy S6) should have wireless charging, EDGE and OLED display, Mobile VR - (News). As always Apple is late to the copycat party. Hello Apple Have you no shame?

Tsk Tsk.... He's like many, including me, which just happen to have an appreciation for both manufacturers. However, you're acting like the typical Apple child he's come to know. How dare someone bashes the mighty Apple dictator community! Maybe you need a safe space? Maybe this was a micro aggression?

      Later brah....

I see nothing in his comment to suspect that he likes both Apple and Samsung, just a lot of hate and negativity toward Apple fanatics.
