  • Semi-Restore now compatible with iOS 9
Semi-restore is now available for iOS9 devices running from iOS 5 right through to iOS 9.1 for all Jailbroken devices.

You can download Semi-Restore by visiting semi-restore.com.

The tool requires 5-10 minutes of your time, OpenSSH installed by Cydia and a 64-bit version of Windows with the latest version of iTunes for the Bonjour service.

This tool allows a fresh version of the iOS that you are on and does not let you downgrade or upgrade to a certain firmware.

Thanks to @CoolStar as he is the developer. Credit to King_O_Hill for PM'ing me.

This article will be updated soon on a how to.

Looks like it's Windows only at this time.

Why didn't I get credit for this? I sent you a PM yesterday.

      It supports Linux too!

This is awesome. I've been waiting for cydia impactor to restore my phone. Guess I'll use this.

Just keep in mind, all this does is basically let you run "Erase all contents and setting" and keep your JailBreak. It doesn't work like Cydia Impactor. But it can still help if your having issues.

I was going to do it, but I read your post. So this doesn't get rid of all the Cydia stuff on the phone? It's not like a fresh install of iOS?

Stuck at "Connecting to device" here too. Windows 10, iPhone 6, OpenSSH installed.

      Anyone tried anything that worked?

I'm not sure if I have OpenSSH installed (cydia disappeared). Is there a way to find out?

Try rebooting your PC. Then run the program as an admin. Make sure you have the newest iTunes installed. It worked for me on my first try. Took like 5 minutes.

Try installing Visuaul C++ 2015 Redistributable on your PC prior to running Seni-Restore.

Does this remove all your apps and cydia apps? Is it like a fresh install but leave cydia?

It does remove all your Cydia tweaks and it does leave Cydia installed, but I'm not sure if it removes AppStore apps.

It does delete your information like apps, music, tweaks, etc...
