  • Apple stops signing iOS 9.3, so you can no longer upgrade/downgrade to iOS 9.3

Today, Apple has stopped signing some iOS 9.3 firmware files which prevents iDevice users from downgrading 9.3.1 and above. iOS 9.3.1 was released to the public three weeks ago.

IPSW.me, is a great website which provides a real time signing status for firmware files, it confirms that most devices are no longer being signed. Attempting to downgrade or upgrade to iOS 9.3 will not work.

Apple is still signing new builds for some of the older devices, which were released to fix the Activation Lock bug.

Jailbreakers should be very careful while installing Jailbreak Tweaks as a bad tweak could force you to restore your device which mean you would lose the Jailbreak as you are forced to update to the latest firmware which is 9.3.1.

I'm staying on iOS 9.3 until there is a jailbrake available. I hate how apple keeps telling me to upgrade to iOS 9.3.1. There is no damn cancel button! Even pressing remind me later forces me to choose a time for it to install automatically!

People keep saying to update because 9.3.1 closes no holes and fixes several bugs. There’s no real problem with staying on 9.3, but no reason to stay either.

There's a way to block the OTA update prompts by installing a tvOS profile. I don't have a link handy but you can find info and a modified version of the profile by searching it on r/jailbreak.

      My iPhone isn't jailbroken ):

I had to take my then jailbroken iPhone 6s Plus to apple because there was an issue with the vibrator. Apple exchanged my iPhone with a new one but it was on iOS 9.2 ):

The method I'm referring to is actually for non-jailbroken devices.

Come here everyday hoping for a new jailbreak, but nothing. I hate apple the company, but like the iPhone.

I'm staying on 9.0.2 iPhone 6 Plus although the safari bug is annoying and my iPad 3 is on 9.2.1 as I might do a clean install.i jailbreak for IntelliScreenX but it's not updated for iOS 9. As my iPhone 4(7.1.2) has intelliScreen.
