In a heartbeat. Call me fickle but that was the single biggest factor by far in me not buying the 1P6.

So what phone do you currently have? Would you buy the 7 or 7 plus?

Hard to make decision for me at current stage. I'll keep an eye on new iPhone 7 News, Rumors, New Features, Review, etc.

Only if they step up their game and create something innovative! I have been a die hard Apple customer for years..... From my iPhone 6S Plus, MacBook Pro, iPad, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, Time Capsule, 2 x Apple TV's (New Gen), wireless key boards and mouses. Ive owned every single iPhone released. I still have the very first iPhone in mint condition! That being said with every new iPhone that comes out I get more and more disappointed! I'm tired of Apple dangling that carrot of bare minimal innovation in front of its customers. Then they try to Oooo and awwww us with features that are basic and standard in most phones or that have been out for some time already! Come on Apple take a chance and step it up!

      New shell material - Really?
Potential waterproofing? Its been done already. If not there are cases that do this (LifeProof) plus most people will still be putting some sort of case on the phone regardless.

Upgraded chipset? Of course but everyone else is doing the same.

3D Touch? Useful for the most part but not something to write home about.

Dual Cameras? Samsung phones have better picture quality with one camera!

Apple how about you stop giving us iPhones that only allows 60% of its ability and or features. Most of the features that Apple adds in new or updated iOS's come from Jailbreak apps, tweaks etc! Then they advertise it and sell it to customers as if its a great new innovative feature that they came up with and added. Come on....... Allow customers to customize their phones also making it more personal. Whats the big deal of a customer changes the color or font or icons or theme, etc. Whats the fear? We've waited for years for simple things like a bigger screen, more GB's and more ram. Just doesn't make any sense. A lot of Apple customers that I know are getting flat out bored and fed up with the smoke and mirrors and no meat and potatos. Just my two cents. Apple needs to give us a game changing innovative iPhone like when they first introduced the iphone and entered the mobile phone / phablet arena.

I did the usual skip the s model and wait for the new design, all depends on if they do get rid of the 3.5 jack though.

Thanks for your detailed share. So I assume you will be buying the new iPhone 7?
I agree with you with everything you've said. It's an issue Apple need to solve and innovate the future!

I don't care if I can change icons, font, color etc if I like the new design I'll buy. Simple and wait for a jb to play with it in another level.

No I won't be buying the iPhone 7 Plus if those are the main or key features and or changes. Im going to need more to tempt me to buy it. I can't lie. Im really curious and waiting to see what Samsung's Galaxy Note 6 will bring. Ive been hearing some very interesting things that are peaking my interest in that phone/phablet.

I hear you but a rose is still a rose by any other name is still a rose. A slight change in design, some added basic or standard features and some different shaded colored icons won't be enough for me to buy one this time around.

I don't give a **** about any of it as long as they give me 16-24 hour battery life! Anything they add more than that will be icing on the cake!

What I would like to see is a iPhone that self charges like a TI calculator or Casio watch! Maybe not charge, but keeps the cells of the battery where they are and current charge never decreases. I just really do t understand why no one, especially Apple has not innovated something like this yet! If they did I would be first one in line!

I see the various comparisons online and sure those pics sometimes look better on a Samsung, but in real life application the iPhone destroys Samsung in quality, speed and usability. More mp ≠ better picture

I would personally love to see a push toward removing the headphone jack in favor of lightning or Bluetooth.

I'm waiting to see what features actually come to fruition to decide though. So much has changed in the last 1.5 years in the purchase process of a new phone that it might make me really think before I upgrade. Previous years was easy; sell the old phone for $300 and buy the new subsidized phone for $300 = free upgrade! Market saturation sux!

My traditional 2-year cycle would put me up for a new iPhone 7, but starting with my iPhone 6 purchase, I am seriously considering switching to a 3-year cycle. I may wait until the 7s.

I'm sure I will buy it, but to the comment of them innovating like the first iPhone I wish they would too but understand how hard that is in this day & age. Back then wasn't as much competition or phones out so it was easy to do. Now it's so many phones & etc with features and app stores one wonders what can they truly innovate now with the phone. I only really see tweaks nothing mind blowing for years to come from any company.

I highly doubt I will upgrade to the 7+. I love my rose gold 6s+ and I'm just going to wait for the 7s+. I like upgrading to the S cycle better.

The other day I was looking at photos taken with my iPhone, impressed by the quality. Then I realized those were taken with my old iPhone 4s!

My slightly less old I phone 5S still works great, and jailbreaks keep button use to a minimum, so I'm not worried about anything wearing out anytime soon.

As was Steve Jobs, I'm nearsighted too, so I don't need a bigger screen.

If Apple gave up their obsession of making their stuff thinner instead of increasing battery capacity, I would consider upgrading my iPhone, but that seems rather unlikely.

As it stands now, I'm good.
Great actually! With what I saved on unnecessary upgrades, I just bought myself an iPad Pro and Pencil.

My 4th gen iPad still works great, and my old iPhone 4s is serving wonderfully for music in my car. My 17" MacBook Pro from 2011 has 16GB of memory and a 1.1TB Fusion drive I bought from Western Digital on sale last year. And I replaced the Bluetooth so I can even use Continuity with it.

There will likely come a day when you'll wish you had used your money more wisely. Do you see many older people working where you do? Nobody wants to hire a 40 year old unless they have to, let alone one who's 50 or 60. They're already talking about raising the retirement age to 70 or above. But never mind that, most menial jobs are now predicted to be automated during the next couple of decades. The technology you covet today may be tomorrow's curse.
