  • Apple Kicks Off iTunes Store Boxing Day Discounts in Canada and the UK

Like previous years, Apple has announced their Boxing Week iTunes Store sale for Canadian and UK users in which there are discounts on select albums for this week only. Canadian and UK users will find the sale in a special section of the iTunes Store for Macs and iOS devices until the end of the week. Many albums that have a $9.99 price tag are now discounted to $6.99 or $7.99. Depending on the price, thatís a discount of up to 30%.

As for the UK iTunes Store, certain popular albums are now £4.99 ($7.44 USD) and even as low as £3.99 ($5.95). However, UK users will not be seeing ĎBoxing Dayí branding in the iTunes Store. Boxing Day is on the day after Christmas and is widely celebrated in Canada, UK, New Zealand, and other countries where retailers give hefty discounts to lure customers into purchasing more. Itís similar to U.S.ís annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday tradition.
