  • New Apple Museum Opens Up in Prague

Prague recently opened up an Apple Museum that features the largest private collection of Apple products, iOS devices, Macs, and Apple equipment from the years of 1976 to 2012. The museum first opened late last week but pictures of what’s inside was shared. The museum is located in an old building that was renovated, which has Steve Jobs quotes decorated on the windows of the Apple Museum.

Products being shown at the Apple Museum include an Apple II, older NeXT Computers, an Apple Lisa (1 out of 100,000 made), and some older Macs. There are also Apple produced printers, different PowerBooks, and some PowerMac and iMac models as well.

On display are also products like the Apple Camera, which not many people knew of, the company’s iPod family, and the special edition Beatles box set. Apple iPhones including the original one released in 2007 is shown as well. According to Prague Post, there are more than 12,000 meters of computer cabling within the museum. If interested, tickets can be purchased from the Apple Museum website for 11 euros (approx. $12) per ticket.

Upon visiting the website, you will be able to read up on the history of Apple, the museum creation, future products to purchase, and see a 3D tour of the museum. We think there should be one in the U.S. and believe it would do very well especially with tourists.

Just for a complete information, I'd like to introduce you to the the Italian one, All About Apple Museum, recognized by Apple itself as the most comprehensive Museum.
It is located in the new marina area in Savona, in the north-west. This is not a private collection, but a non-profit association: participation and sharing are the strength of the museum. Furthermore, the displayed products are all fully functional and can be used by visitors. For more informations:
