  • Facebook Begins Rolling Out Live Photos Support for Some iOS Device Users

On Monday, Facebook has begun enabling Live Photos support for a very limited amount of iOS device users, and appears to be a part of a recent update to the application that was not released today, but rather, last week. Facebook is enabling the feature from their end.

As first noted by The Verge Monday morning, only iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users will be able to actually post Live Photos from their iPhones to Facebook. In terms of viewing, anyone with an iOS 9 device can see the Live Photos exactly as Apple intended them to be seen. Android devices and Web users will not be able to see Live Photos, as is to be expected from an Apple-only feature.

It's noted that the feature should be available to all iOS 9 device users sometime early next year when the trial period extends past the limited amount of people that have access starting today.

Facebook is a free download from the iOS App Store at this link.

Jail breakers will have access I'm sure. They've already got a Live Photos tweak and now just have to trick FB

I don't see how this forces people. Of course, the only way you can use this feature is with these devices but on that same note, only way I can do wireless charging is with a Galaxy device. I don't feel forced to use it at all.
