  • Apple Reportedly Plans to Host An Event in March Focused On Second-Gen Apple Watch

Apple entered the smart watch industry this year with the Apple Watch, the company's first wearable tech, and by March of next year, Apple may be already be ready to unveil the next-generation Apple Watch, which may be dubbed the Apple Watch 2.

First reported by 9to5Mac on Tuesday, the Cuptertino-based company is likely planning an event at around the March time of the year where such a device would be likely to be announced. The information has reportedly been leaked by an inside source familiar with the planning of such events.

It's even possible that the 4-inch iPhone 6c that continues to be rumored may make an appearance at such an event, although it's not really even a confirmed interest of Apple as of yet; more-so just a rumor.

Nonetheless, an upgraded Apple Watch may get improved hardware, including a camera for FaceTime calls, improvements to Wi-Fi capabilities, improvements to health and sleep pattern tracking, less dependency on the iPhone itself, and even improved power efficiency.
