  • Apple, Microsoft Play Nicely Together Over New Holiday Ad

The holiday season brings out the best in just about everyone -- including tech rivals in the mobile space.

According to sources dishing the scoop to AdAge, Apple and Microsoft managed to play nicely together for once -- at least with regard to the production of Microsoft's latest holiday TV advert.

Unlike the previous year's holiday campaign, which demonstrated a bit more aggressive anti-Apple marketing on the part of Microsoft, this year the software giant and mobile tech innovator is focusing more on its own brand and not a superior offering at the expense of Apple.

AdAge, which checked out the spot, says it will begin airing later this week and "features Microsoft store employees -- along with a Harlem children's choir -- singing 'Let There Be Peace on Earth' in front of Apple's store on 5th Avenue in New York."

Pretty sweet and funny, right? Best of all, Microsoft actually scored permission from Apple to facilitate the musical performance and taping.

Peace, it seems, truly is possible... sometimes.
