  • Apple's Personal Pickup Service Expands to the UK

Just a few days ago, we reported that Apple has expanded its Personal Pickup Service in Canada and Australia. Now the Cupertino-based company launched the service in the UK, which means customers can pick their products up at a local Apple Store within the hour of purchasing it. Shoppers will be able to place their order on the Apple Online Store or Apple Store app and opt to pick it up in store, as it is much quicker than having the item(s) delivered.

When a customer’s order is ready for pick-up, a text or email will be sent telling them their order is ready. Then they could just simply go to their nearby store and present proper photo ID. U.S. Apple Stores have had Personal Pickup Service for 4 years now, since 2011. It wasn’t until earlier this month that the company went ahead and made the service an international service.

We’re sure they will be rolling out the service in more countries by the end of the year, since in one week alone they expanded to three different countries. Currently in other countries, customers can reserve products online but have to complete the purchase in store. With the Personal Pickup service, everything will go much faster.
