  • Apple Seeds Fourth OS X 10.11.2 Beta to Developers & Public Beta Program Participants

On Tuesday, Apple has seeded a fourth OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan beta to developers and Public Beta Program participants for testing. The new beta, which comes with the build number of 15C47a, comes almost a week after the previous beta.

OS X 10.11.2 is a minor update from OS X 10.11.1, which mostly involves tying up some of the loose ends from the initial OS X 10.11 El Capitan release. This includes bug fixes, performance improvements, stability enhancements, and security patches. There are still no known new features in the update.

Those enrolled in the developer program or public beta program can head over to the Mac App Store's Updates tab to find the new beta waiting to be installed. It's also available on Apple's Web site for developers who are enrolled in Apple's developer program.

Since the update requires a restart, you should save all work prior to updating to prevent unwanted data loss.
