  • Apple Opening Next Chinese Apple Store in Chengdu Next Week

With a stated goal of having 40 Apple Stores open in China by the end of 2016, Apple will inch closer to that ambitious objective next weekend.

According to confirmed reports out of China today, Apple's 26th retail outlet in China will open November 21st. This location, we're told, is set for Chengdu, a rather large city in the Sichuan Province.

Just last month, Apple opened another retail store in China in the critically important port city of Dalian.

According to MacRumors, next week's grand opening puts the newest Apple Store right in the middle of a major retail revolution in China that is bringing with it a flood of globally prominent retailers to the same regions in which Apple is setting up shop.

The same report notes that Apple is also in the process of preparing to open its first retail store in Singapore, although no date has yet been established.
