  • Apple Seeds a Third OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan Beta to Developers for Testing

Following a seed of iOS 9.2 beta 3 to developers and Public Beta Program participants, Apple has seeded a third beta of OS X 10.11.2 to developers for testing on Tuesday. The new update comes approximately a week after the second OS X 10.11.2 beta, and comes with the build number 15C40a.

OS X 10.11.2 is a minor update for current installations of OS X El Capitan that will include bug fixes and performance enhancements. Among the things that Apple asks developers to focus on are graphics, networking, Spotlight, and various applications bundled with the operating system.

Those on the developer channel can open up the Mac App Store and visit the Updates tab to find this update. Since a restart is required to install it, it's recommended that you save all work before progressing so that you don't lose any of your data.
