  • Apple Releases tvOS 9.0.1 to the Public With Bug Fixes and Improvements

On Monday, Apple has released tvOS 9.0.1 (build number 13T402), the first ever software update for the new Apple TV unit. The update comes ahead of tvOS 9.1, which is currently in its beta testing stages for developers at this point in time.

For those that have the new Apple TV, tvOS 9.0.1 is a recommended update. It can be installed Over the Air (OTA) just like on an iOS device by way of the Software Update option in the Settings application on the new Apple TV.

Since tvOS 9.0.1 is a minor update, we can expect it simply has bug fixes and small improvements for the tvOS operating system as a whole. There are no known new features in this release at the time of this writing.

We'll continue to keep you update on updates for Apple devices, so stay tuned!

The "bug" is probably to stop people from installing and running that native tvOS browser on it.
