  • Apple Seeds a Second Public Beta of OS X 10.11.2 to Public Beta Participants

On Tuesday, Apple seeded a second beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan to developers for testing, along with iOS 9.2 beta 2. Public Beta Participants got a second beta of iOS 9.2 on Wednesday, although a second public beta of OS X 10.11.2 was finally given to Public Beta Program participants on Thursday, in an odd system of events.

The OS X 10.11.2 update isn't major, and includes mostly bug fixes, performance improvements, security patches, and stability enhancements. No new features have yet to be discovered in the update.

OS X 10.11.2 is available for Public Beta Program participants via the Updates tab in the Mac App Store on registered Mac machines.

Since and upgrade requires a restart, you're advised to save all work in open applications to prevent unwanted data loss during the update process.
