  • Apple May Have Interest in San Jose Campus

Apple may not yet be done prepping its new corporate homestead in Cupertino (the infamous Spaceship Campus) but Apple is expanding at such a breakneck pace that it needs more land to host its employees ASAP.

For that reason, a string of published reports suggests that Apple is looking to open yet another campus, this time in San Jose on an expansive chunk of land that could meet all of Apple's needs and more.

Citing sources speaking with the Silicon Valley Business Journal, "Apple is working with the city of San Jose to create a huge 4.5 million square-foot secondary campus."

Just how big is that space? Look at it this way. Apple's "spaceship campus" is only 2.8 million square feet in comparison.

For now, Apple isn't publicly addressing its aims for the San Jose campus -- assuming it even comes to fruition. But it looks like the plan to capture that space is moving ahead swimmingly for the iDevice maker.
