  • New Best Buy Survey Reveals Apple’s iPad Number One on Holiday Technology Wish List

Popular electronics retail store Best Buy recently conducted a new study nationwide, asking customers what products and gadgets they planned on gifting this holiday season. The list of ‘Top 15 Tech Gifts for 2015” detailed the highest rated electronics people have interest in gifting this year. From the survey, the electronic that took the number one spot was Apple’s iPad. It was not noted which iPad line, whether the iPad Mini or Air, took the number one spot.

Other products that also landed on this year’s list included Apple’s MacBook, the Apple Watch, the Bose QuietComfort Headphones, and more. See the full list below:

    1. iPad
    2. Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones
    3. MacBook
    4. Samsung 48” Smart 4K Ultra HD TV
    5. Sharp 43” Smart HDTV with Roku
    6. Microsoft Surface
    7. Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II
    8. Fitbit Charge HR Heart Rate and Activity Tracker
    9. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2
    10. Dyson V6 Absolute Bagless Cordless Vacuum

    15. GoPro HERO4 Action Camera
Out of the top 15 list, Apple products accounted for a total of three this year with the newest Apple Watch coming in at number 12. This however, came in four spots lower than the popular health activity tracker the Fitbit Charge. The nationwide study also pointed out that those in the age group 18-34, placed electronics higher on their wish list than books, clothing, and jewelry.

It was noted in the survey that self-gifting was factored into the Best Buy survey. 15% of those with the MacBook on their list and 19% of those interested in the iPad, has plans of purchasing the device for themselves this holiday season. They also found that men are more likely to buy consumer electronics to family and friends, while also more likely to want tech-related gifts. What’s on your holiday wish list this year?
