On Wednesday, alongside the public releases of iOS 9.1 and watchOS 2.0.1, Apple has released OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan to the public.

OS X 10.11.1 brings to the table bug fixes and improvements to the operating system. One of the most notable is improved compatibility with the new Microsoft Office 2016 for OS X, which recently had been reported for having instability problems on the new operating system.

Moreover, the new operating system update includes new Emojis, which are also included in iOS 9.1 and watchOS 2.0.1, fixes problems with Mail in OS X, improves VoiceOver, and more. A full change log is available below:

For me, you may want to wait, a lot of apps I have from the Mac App Store and 3rd party apps don't work on El Cap yet.

If you are just now updating to El Cap, and not the update. It does take some time. Took me well over an hour the first release.
