  • Apple Releases iOS 9.1 to the Public


    Wednesday afternoon, Apple has released iOS 9.1 to the public for all iOS devices capable of running iOS 9. The new firmware update includes a variety of bug fixes and performance improvements, and adds a handful of new Emoji to the operating system.

    The full change log included with the update from Apple is as follows:

    • Fixes an issue that prevented users from removing recent contacts from new mail or messages
    • Fixes an issue that caused some messages to not appear in Mail search results
    • Resolves an issue that left a gray bar in the body of an Audio Message
    • Fixes an issue that caused activation errors on some carriers
    • Fixes an issue that prevented some apps from updating from the App Store

    The update is available in the Settings application under General > Software Update if you're interested in downloading the update Over the Air (OTA). Alternatively, you can plug your iOS device into your computer and launch iTunes to download the latest version of iOS and install it.

    iOS 9.1 is not vulnerable to the Pangu9 jailbreak, so those that are wanting to keep a jailbreak should refrain from upgrading.

      Definitely doesn't seem worth the update and losing my jailbreak

      Yeah...still some things I don't like but I think performance is a bit better... I'll have to check battery life..I know 9.0.2 killed my 5 quick but not 5s.. We'll see.

      Dam it !!! I was never able to jailbreak now I'm still gonna be stuck with iOS 8 until there is one compatible jailbreak tweak for Mac and not only windows. Parallels never works for me either

      Since the 9.0.2 is still being signed while the 9.1 is out today. Where can I save shsh files? Since I had tried tiny umbrella it seems no longer working to save 9.0.2 shsh file can anybody help so that way I can save it before it's too late? I have tried several time of saving shsh from tiny umbrella it said "unknown" also I had tried Ifaith that doesn't work either any workaround? Much appreciated.

      I'm not really sure you need them anymore.

      You can save your blobs it's just pointless right now. You can't downgrade until the dev of tinyumbrella gets it working. I would assume it's safe to say that it is no easy task to get tinyumbrella back to its old form with all that Apple has changed and the hardware changes.
