  • CBS Expected to Work with Apple for Streaming TV Service

With an increasing number of reports suggesting that Apple is on the verse of striking major distribution deals for streaming television content, it looks like we can add CBS to list of likely partners.

On Wednesday, Bloomberg reported that the inevitable trajectory of TV programming "will probably lead to a deal." That admission comes straight from CBS Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves.

“Apple is having conversations with everyone about doing their own streaming services,” Moonves told Bloomberg TV. “We have had those conversations, as have the other networks. Do I think something will happen? Probably, but I do not know when.”

According to the same report, CBS is also involved in distribution discussions with Facebook, Netflix and others, all of which would probably like to ink an exclusive deal with CBS before Apple gets the goods.
