  • Facebook Messenger Comes to the Apple Watch in Latest iOS App Update

On Thursday, Facebook has finally updated its iOS application with support for the Apple Watch. It's one of the applications sthat that was teased at the September 9th special media event when Apple talked about watch OS 2, but no specific date was announced on when it would arrive.

Previously, users could only dismiss notifications or send a thumbs-up, but now, Facebook Messenger users can do so much more with their messages right from their wrists.

With Apple Watch support, those on watchOS 2 can message their friends from their Apple Watch. The application supports replying, as well as sending stickers, sending voice clips, sending your location, sending emoticons, or even sending the good ol' thumbs up.

The update also adds support for new features in iOS 9, such as being able to find conversations with specific friends via Spotlight search, as well as take advantage of improved iPad multitasking.

Existing users of Facebook Messenger will be able to upgrade to the newest version of the application via the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can also head over to this App Store link to download the latest version of Facebook Messenger for free.
