  • Disney Goes Hands On With Apple's New iPad Pro and Apple Pencil

Just a few days ago we reported that Appleís iPad Pro is rumored to debut the first week of November. Now, the Cupertino-based company has sent a number of new iPad Pros over to Disney so that animators are able to test out the new tablet along with the Apple Pencil stylus. Disney animators were able to try out the sketching and drawing capabilities of the iPad Pro using the company's new pencil accessory.

Disney Story Artist Jeff Ranjo took to Twitter to announce that they would be showing off the tablet on Periscope so that consumers can see the new iPad in action. Disney's Senior Software Engineer Paul Hildebrandt also posted some of the teamís drawings on Twitter for those who missed it. When doing the drawings, the animation team used a beta version of the app Procreate that was updated to have iPad Pro support.

Ranjo noted that he liked the palm rejection feature of the iPad Pro and the grip of the tablet. Itís safe to assume that the Disney team thoroughly enjoyed the larger iPad, as Ranjo said to order a bunch at the end of the Periscope. Disney Artist Paul Felix had drawn Mickey Mouse on the iPad Pro while story artist Paul Briggs drew Frozenís Olaf.
