  • Apple Takes Number 1 Spot in World's Most Valuable Brand Again

Every year, Interbrand releases a ranking of the world’s most valuable brands and Apple tops this year’s rankings yet again. The Cupertino-based company has held this position for two years in a row now, since 2013. Coca-Cola held the first spot until Apple knocked them out of the top spot. Other companies joining Apple in the top 10 include Google, Microsoft, Samsung, and Amazon taking second, fourth, and tenth place, respectively.

It was noted that Apple has grown 43% in brand value since last year’s rankings. Because of this growth, the company took one of Interbrand’s ‘Top Riser’ titles. According to this year’s survey, Apple increased $51.4 billion in brand valuation from $118.8 billion in 2014 to $170.3 billion in 2015. Facebook and Amazon also earned Interbrand’s ‘Top Riser’ title, as they saw positive growth this year as well.

Apple released and announced some good products this year, which most likely helped them obtain such a positive growth since last year. The company launched the Apple Watch in April, released their new flagship iPhones last month, announced their new iPad Pro, and an all new Apple TV at the event last month. Their iPhone launch alone, sold a record-breaking thirteen million units in the first weekend, which beat their record last year with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
