  • Best Jailbreak Tweaks of the Week - October 4th Edition

This recap will go over the best jailbreak tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most worthy of recognition out of what we have been able to show you this week. These are in no specific order, and they're all compatible with the TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3-8.4 for Windows and Mac OS X. Check them out!

    1. Anemone FREE

First on our list this week is a brand-new theme manager called Anemone, which can replace WinterBoard as your main theme manager. If you enjoy changing the look of your jailbroken iOS device, Anemone is an awesome new way to select new themes and apply them to your device. Anemone gives you a brand-new theme selection interface with previews so that you can see what your themes are going to look like before you apply them. You can also enable or disable individual features for your themes to customize the look of your device even further. This jailbreak extension is available in Cydia for free, so give it a shot if you're into theming!

    2. MicrophoneRouting FREE

Another tweak worth looking at is MicrophoneRouting, which will help those with busted rear-facing microphones. This tweak lets you route your input sound via another microphone on your iPhone. Since the iPhone has three microphones, one on the bottom, one on the back, and one on the front, this tweak lets you pick another one to use while recording videos, which is extremely helpful if your rear-facing one has suffered water or drop damage. You can read our full review of MicrophoneRouting at this link to enlighten yourself on the details.

    3. Universal Mute FREE

Those of you that get annoyed by the loud burst of media volume that your iOS device plays even when you mute your device's ringer volume are going to love Universal Mute. This new jailbreak tweak prevents your media volume from blaring when your device is muted with the ringer/silent switch by matching the muted volume to both volume levels. Now, when you visit a quiet place like a library and have the ringer/silent switch enabled, you can be sure that the video will be quiet. You can read our full review of Universal Mute at this link.

    4. ApnHistory FREE

Another tweak you might be interested in is ApnHistory, which is a jailbreak tweak that lets you see a history of your recent push notifications by way of a new application icon on your Home Screen. Whenever you clear your notifications from Notification Center (even by accident), you may still have notifications waiting for you in your apps, and you won't be able to tell very easily which applications had the notifications. This tweak lets you see a history of all of your past notifications. You can read our full review of ApnHistory at this link.

    5. CCSwipeActivator FREE

Last on our list this week, but not least, is CCSwipeActivator, which is a tweak that adds new Activator gestures to Activator that can be used to perform Activator actions. As the name implies, the tweak is based out of Control Center, allowing you to perform up or down swipes to perform actions. It's great for someone that needs more Activator gestures because they've used them all, or wants a better input gesture than what's already available. You can read our full review of CCSwipeActivator at this link.
