  • India Invites Apple to Manufacture Products In Their Nation

According to local reports out of India, Apple has received a formal invitation by one of India's highest ranking officials to begin manufacturing products inside the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants Apple to establish a manufacturing base in India. And per media reports from the region, Apple CEO Tim Cook didn't balk at the idea.

"The Prime Minister (in his meeting with Cook) said he would like Apple to start manufacturing in India. He mentioned the huge opportunities India offered," a government source is quoted by The Times of India.

With Foxconn reportedly poised to establish a manufacturing base in India, the stars may be aligned for matters to work out as Indian officials are hoping.

"Cook responded positively. I think India does fits into his long term plans. He particularly was interested in the whole App development economy, which he said could be a very very important factor for entrepreneurship where individual app developers can just become part of the app universe," the source added.
